Jann Traschewski
About me
Hello, my name is Jann Traschewski and I'm studying mechatronics (a combination of electronics, computer science and mechanical engineering) at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg.
I am particularly interested in radio specially on the higher bands. I operate some automated radio stations e.g. at the University of Applied Sciences in Nuernberg and the telecommunication tower Nuernberg.
Furthermore I'm skilled in computer networking and VPN technologies (wired and wireless). I run several linux machines (like this one, which is hosting my homepage) on the internet mostly for radio usage. I like to improve software by reporting bugs and detailed testing of software parts (e.g. Linux Kernel Code). Currently I'm becoming familiar with embedded devices. Due to reduced power consumption, embedded systems are becoming more and more relevant on the market.
My favourite linux distribution is Debian on normal servers and OpenWRT on embedded devices. Following table lists some packages I maintain on my machines:
